While the X Factor may be back on our screens, the Gorton and Levenshulme Neighbourhood Policing Team are preparing to re-create Simon Cowell’s other hit talent show, Britain’s Got Talent.
So, if you think you can dance like Diversity, sing like Susan Boyle or do back flips like Flawless, then the Neighbourhood Policing Team need you for the first ever ‘Gorton’s Got Talent!’ competition, in association with the Nova Scarman Trust.
Auditions are open to any talent and any age and will be held in early-September at Cedar Mount High School, Wright Robinson Sports College, West Gorton Climbing Centre and Gorton Library. The grand-finale, complete with secret celebrity judge, will take place on 10 October at Gorton Educational Village.
Inspector Damian O’Reilly from the Gorton and Levenshulme Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "I’m constantly hearing from the local officers and PCSOs how many talented young people live in and around our area. This competition is the perfect way for them to showcase their talents and will give them and their friends something positive to work towards in their spare time."
Application forms are available from Gorton Police Station, Gorton Tesco, West Gorton Climbing Centre, Gorton Library and Levenshulme Library.
