"Learn Radio in a Day" is a one day course that will give you a taste of what making a radio show is all about. You'll have lots of fun and even make some new friends.

You will learn many skills throughout the day!

  • Presenting tips (voice inflection, reading scripts, clarity)
  • Understanding the sectors of the radio industry
  • Understanding different audiences
  • Ofcom rules and regulations
  • What makes a radio show
  • Developing ideas for a radio show
  • Making a radio feature
  • Scripting your own introduction to a show
  • Presenting a live radio show

It could be a step to further learning and volunteering

Lunch and refreshments will be provided for the day

You must be aged 19 to 60 and unemployed.
