To commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the outbreak of WW2, the library is promoting a special collection of war stories, fact and fiction and hosting events with two authors, both of whom write stories set against the background of the war. Bob Wild, a local Levenshulme author talking about his new book of short stories, The Dogs of War. Born in 1930s Prestwich, these stories, 'full of life, vividly evoking the atmosphere of the period' are based on his childhood experiences in WW2.
